Wednesday, September 19, at noon, MSF organized a flashmob in Geneva to protest against the action brought by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis in India. This action threatens access to generic drugs of which India is the largest producer.
Nearly 200 people were immobilized on the rue du Mont-Blanc for several minutes, highlighting the fact that “if Novartis wins, everything stops.” An ambulance arrived on the scene to evacuate the wounded. The porters were also frozen to symbolize the threat posed by the action of Novartis access to care.
