Women affected by breast cancer, in alliance with the women’s movement and treatment activists are launching a public campaign in India for access to Trastuzumab (Herceptin). Roche is charging breast cancer patients in India between Rs.72,000 (1385 USD) to Rs. 92,000 (1730 USD) per dose.
We encourage families affected by cancer and public interest organizations from across the world to sign on to the letter-addressed to the Indian PM – with a request to take strict action against Roche; to start providing the drug to patients free of cost; and to encourage the development of affordable biosimilar of Trastuzumab.
